Project Portfolio Management 

The information technology solutions of PPM (PPMS) have the purpose of "assembling" in a temporary and virtual way Projects, Contracts and Internal Orders present in the company databases to allow evaluations and simulations on them.

These are powerful solutions, designed to support both the planning activity and the control activities that are carried out at the Company level as a whole.

The "portfolios" are normally composed of:
 

  •     Projects in progress (orders in hand);

  •     Ongoing projects and simulated projects (planned acquisitions)

 

In the first case, the analyzes mainly concern the past and are intended to carry out evaluations on the performance achieved in a given period, for a product line, a customer, a market, etc.

In the second case, the analyzes mainly concern the future and are intended to evaluate alternative scenarios (what if) for production volumes, expected profitability, load and degree of saturation of resources, etc.

The analyzes carried out with the PPMS solutions allow to obtain results such as:
 

  •      Identification of structural criticalities;

  •      Orientation of business choices;

  •      Optimization of the use of resources;

  •      Increase in overall profitability​
